Combining conventional reflexology with heat providing a deeper, more relaxing treatment .
A different experience from conventional reflexology treatment.
HOW IT WORKS
Smooth basalt stones (formed from lava) are warmed then large ones used to massage the lower legs and feet with smaller ones used to stimulate reflex points.
INCREASED BENEFITS
A slower treatment ; it is estimated that one stroke is worth five strokes with the hand therefore it works at a five times deeper level and is effective five times longer.
Deeper relaxation which responds quicker to the heat
Reduces and soothes aching tired muscles and soft tissue therefore allowing them to recover and repair quickly
Slows the heart rate improving blood circulation therefore boosting the immune system
THE HISTORY OF HOT STONE TREATMENTS
There is evidence that hot stones were used in ancient civilisations all over the world such as China, South America, Australia and the Polynesian Islands.
Hot Stone therapy revival began in the early 1990’s where it was initially used in massage. It has since been adapted for use in reflexology and continues to grow in popularity.
